Hello and welcome.
I am a psychotherapist in private practice since 1988. I offer privacy and confidentiality, as well as availability and continuity that you will not find within managed health care systems.
I provide psychotherapy based on a compassionate and practical approach, to help people gain more love, respect, and success for themselves in their relationships. I work with individuals, couples and groups as well as teach assertiveness training courses.
I view psychotherapy as research into the realities of a person's life. This research must be done in the context of an important, collaborative effort between therapist and patient as equal partners: exploring ideas together and being curious about behavior and the causes behind it.
Through listening, questioning, discussing and encouraging experimentation, I have helped people understand the negative beliefs that cause difficulties in their lives. These beliefs can come from many sources, from upbringing, and from societal expectations and pressures. Many times these beliefs can be subconscious, but they still profoundly affect how we think, feel and behave.
The process of good psychotherapy is an active process of re-education and therefore change. My work helps you experience success in dealing with specific problems such as relationship and family difficulties, depression, anxiety, career and health issues.
